The Mariners have had a majority of their success on the road this season and continued that trend with their latest series win.

The Mariners pulled out a taut win over the White Sox on Wednesday, taking two games out of the three in Chicago ahead of a big series against the Astros.

Logan Evans will start for the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday at Rate Field against Miguel Vargas and the Chicago White Sox. First pitch is at 2:10 p.m. ET for the final game of a three-game series.

In the next at-bat, Leody Taveras hit the first pitch from Mike Vasil for a two-run homer to center field. The Sox (15-35) lost 6-5, dropping their second straight series. They’ve lost six of their last seven and 11 of 16.

Officially signed by the team Tuesday afternoon, Adrian Houser moved right into the Chicago White Sox rotation by starting in the evening.

The Sox (15-34) didn’t falter late in their win over the Mariners after a one-hour, 35-minute rain delay. Powered by six shutout innings from Adrian Houser, who signed and debuted on the same day, the Sox did just enough to squeak by in Tuesday’s win.
