Muskegon State Park has lots of hiking from woods to dunes to beach and back. PJ Hoffmaster is a great park too. You said you know about the beaches, but the dog beach is Kruse Park, dogs aren't allowed on the other public beaches. If you travel further than 45min, north is Ludington State Park and Petoskey. Lots to do and see.

Jun 7, 2022 · That’s a 9 minute drive from the state park. Another 5 minutes up the road is Meijer. LJ’s pantry was a 4 minute drive from the park. You don’t do google well. Of course the place is packed. It’s a public campground in summer that’s right on the beach/channel. What were you expecting? If you want seclusion Muskegon State Park ain’t it.

Pere Marquette beach, the Deck. Michigan’s Adventure theme park. The cinema carousel for movies. Craig’s cruisers has a decent arcade and go karts and batting cages. Hoffmaster state park has great hiking trails and a nice beach and visitors center. Downtown Muskegon has good bars, restaurants, hockey and a farmers market.
