Who We Are
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE). We are the national food agency overseeing food safety and food security in Singapore.
What We Do
SFA regulates the safety of food from import to primary production and local manufacturing, all the way to food retail. We identify key stakeholders and control points along this farm-to-fork food supply chain. Up-to-date and internationally aligned policies on food safety standards.
Import Requirements for Food & Food Products
The import requirements can be found in the Wholesome Meat and Fish (Import, Export and Transhipment) Rules. You must comply with the import requirements before you apply for an import permit to bring Meat & Meat Products into Singapore.

The application for a Food Shop Licence mainly consists of the following: Submission of application. Review of application and layout plan of food establishment. Pre-licensing inspection checks by SFA. Final approval. Follow the steps below to apply for a Food Shop Licence.
